Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate WordPress Developer to join our team. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for creating, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites that are user-friendly, visually appealing, and perform efficiently. You will collaborate closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to build robust websites that meet the needs of our clients. Your role will involve everything from theme and plugin development to ensuring that the websites are optimized for performance, SEO, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress websites and themes.
- Customize and optimize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to WordPress development standards.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure that websites are mobile-friendly and display properly across all devices.
- Work with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create dynamic and interactive website elements.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and other services into WordPress websites.
- Ensure website performance, including fast loading times, security, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress websites, including front-end and back-end problems.
- Optimize websites for search engines (SEO) and ensure they are compliant with current SEO best practices.
- Implement and maintain content management workflows, making it easier for clients to manage content independently.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and WordPress updates to ensure the websites are modern and secure.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on using WordPress effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, content writers, and marketers, to ensure the seamless execution of projects.
- Regularly perform website maintenance, updates, backups, and security checks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or Web Developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress websites.
- Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with WordPress page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and content management systems (CMS).
- Experience with WordPress development tools and workflows, including Git, Composer, and WP-CLI.
- Knowledge of WordPress security best practices and optimization techniques.
- Experience with WooCommerce for eCommerce website development (preferred).
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and the ability to implement them effectively within WordPress websites.
- Familiarity with MySQL or other database management systems.
- Ability to work with version control (Git) and deployment tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
